1. Notification
It starts the appeal deadline. The date and method of notification matter and should be kept.
2. Preparing the appeal
The lawyer reviews the decision, gathers documents, identifies arguments (personal and family situation, procedural errors, etc.) and drafts the application.
3. Filing with the administrative court
The application is filed within the deadline. Depending on the measure, an application for suspension or other requests may be attached.
4. Investigation and hearing
The administration may reply in writing. A hearing is held, where the lawyer pleads. Judgment deadlines are sometimes very short.
5. The judgment
The court may annul the OQTF or dismiss the appeal. Depending on the outcome, further steps are to be considered: appeal, new application, reconsideration. No outcome can be guaranteed.
